    Ms. Poole founded Strand College of Hair Design in March of 1993. She has been in education for over 25 years and is licensed in South and North Carolina as a cosmetologist and a cosmetology Instructor. Besides her education in cosmetology, Ms. Poole has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Administration and Political Science, as well as a Masters of Arts Degree in Human Relations and Conflict Resolution from Columbia College. She also attended Charleston School of Law in Charleston, South Carolina. She serves on the Georgetown Hospital System Foundation Board, and as an advisor and on the IRC for the South Carolina Board of Cosmetology. She has also been acknowledged for her work and various contributions for Habitat for Humanity, Susan G. Komen Foundation, Toys for Tots, and her work in church as well as assisting local community kitchens. She has served previously as a member to the Pivot Point Advisor Board. Ms. Poole is presently the president of SCALP Associations which provides advanced and continuing education. She is also approved by the South Carolina Board of Cosmetology to teach the 45 Hour Methods of Training.

    Further studies include training as a Pivot Point Instructor, Milady Instructor Education, and numerous advanced color classes with Roy Peters. She has also written a book about conflict resolution in the cosmetology industry and is in the process of writing her second book, an instructional text book for Instructors and Students.

    Susie Jackson brings over 25 years of instructor experience to Strand College of Hair Design. Teaching classes in hair design, color and correction, esthetics, nail design and instructing, Susie is able to communicate new and fresh ideas to everyone. Her style of teaching includes the How and Why and gives you an innovative approaches to creating that design. With a strong background in chemistry, she loves to analyze just how a product will really work and how you can choose your products to maximize the best use of them. Education should be a continuing desire for all designers and her classes will excite and inform you. You will always have new information in each class that you can utilize in your next salon or classroom experience. Her extended education credentials include many Redken, Goldwell and Paul Mitchell, Matrix and Sam Villa advanced color and design classes, as well as experience and judging in state and national competitions.

        Ms.Tammy Stanley is a native of Hampton County South Carolina. She moved to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 1989 to attend the University of South Carolina at Coastal Carolina campus where she studied Business Administration with a concentration in management. Ms. Stanley is a 2003 graduate of Strand College of Hair Design where her journey into the beauty industry began. Ms. Stanley is a licensed cosmetologist and a licensed cosmetology instructor in the state of South Carolina. Miss Stanley continues to advance her education and training with a host of advanced classes and hands on training which include training with EZ Flow, OPI and Tammy Taylor nail systems, Design Essentials professional hair cutting and product knowledge, and Avalon industries master color.

        Born in Michigan, but raised in the south and an alumni of Strand College of Hair Design. Michelle now works at Vega Hair Design. She attended the Premiere Show in Orlando, Florida as well as the Salon Centric Show in Myrtle Beach, SC. In Orlando she also represented her school in a cutting and coloring competition in the Avant Guard and Fantasy Divisions. She trained with her husband, Gregory Blythe, in advanced cutting and coloring techniques. Michelle has taken advanced classes from Nancy Braun, Nick Arrojo, Ruth Roche, just to name a few. She is certified in Keratin Smoothing treatment and Hot Heads Extensions as well as having had training from Loreal Professional, Pureology, and other various product lines. Michelle enjoys working with the students of Strand College of Hair Design because it allows her to pay forward all the training she received to help her succeed.
