Course Scheduling
Classes begin monthly (unless otherwise announced by Administration.) Orientation is held the prior to class start date unless otherwise announced by Administration. An application fee of $100 is required to hold a place in the requested class
The College is open Monday 8:30 – 3:00pm, Tuesday through Friday 8:30-5:00 pm. The college provides several class scheduling options. Below is listed the standard class schedule. Admissions office will provide other available class schedule options.
Cosmetology:
30 hours a week, 8:45am – 3:15pm (M-F)
Massage Therapy and Bodywork:

INCLEMENT WEATHER
Strand College usually follows closure with other local area colleges. Closure will be posted on college web site, strandcollege.com, and Strand College Facebook page. Students may call the College for any further information. Also closure announcements may be posted as on local radio and/or TV stations. During hurricane season Strand College follows state governed mandatory evacuations. The college will resume classes when conditions are announced by state officials for businesses to resume operations or as other local universities/college classes resume. Students that have children attending public schools will have excused absences for times the public school system close due to inclement weather when the college continues to have regular class schedule.

TOTALS INCLUDE
These are the total costs of the courses offered at Strand College of HAIR DESIGN. These fees also include all the textbooks and supplies that the student will need to complete the course. There are no other required costs or fees by the College. Various additional kits/supplies are available to the students upon student request to purchase, which include but not limited to specialized nail, esthetic, and LEVEL/Board Examination Kits. Personal assigned kits will be distributed near 500 actual hours based upon student being in compliance of Satisfactory Progress at 451 hours and personal payments and/or Title IV Disbursements.
COURSE SCHEDULE CHANGE FEE
When a student requests a change in their schedule, they must sign a re-contracting form. There is a $150.00 fee for re-contracting unless amendment due to LOA.
ENROLLMENT AGREEMENT
Each student will be required to sign an enrollment agreement before beginning school. This agreement is a contract stating the exact cost of the course and the College’s refund policy. Students who are 18 and over may accept financial responsibility for their education. Students who are under 18 are required to have their parent, guardian, or sponsoring institution present for signing.
From time to time various educators and platform artists are brought into the college by product manufactures to conduct special classes. Most of these classes are provided at no extra cost to the student. A few of the hands on classes may require the student to purchase supplies in order to participate in the class. Any class that requires a fee is optional.
